This lady below, she's my role model and a women who deserves being mentioned.

We received news this weekend of my husbands grandmother's passing. This beautiful lady, Vel, was very much my grandmother too! It was a phone call we were expecting, as her time here was limited. She was 82 years old and was full of life, until the past few months.

She always lead with her heart, was so much fun to be around and always thought of others with all she did. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was, and still is, a great role model, one I

will reminisce of often!

While taking in this mornings sunrise and I realized I wanted to share her wonderfulness with everyone. I knew I had just the right item to give on her behalf. She was one of my biggest fans, and would be so touched by me doing so!

She loved coffee, especially in the evening (yes, late at night) before the evening shows of Leno and Letterman. She had the grandma house on the street with windmills, flowers, and lots of color. She loved Halloween, because of all the kids trick or treating, and made a mean scalloped potato dish, of which I'm blessed to now be the owner of the recipe.
